We are happy to offer your accommodation in our home, known for many years as ‘Wanda’s Homestay’. We have a large but basic home in the rice fields in the village of Landbau, 2km from Bukit Lawang. Our eldest children no longer live at home, but you will meet them if you trek with us. They are Fabio, 22, who has been joining our tours for the past 4 years. He is quickly becoming his own expert at nature. Pele, 18, is just starting out as a guide with us. Both speak English well and are always eager to meet new people. Still living at home are our 3 other children ranging in age from 14 to 9, and so our home is ideal if you are also travelling with children or just like to hang out and play games. One thing is for sure, our home is never boring and is always filled with fun and laughter!

Our home has 3 guest bedrooms available for you to use – just take your pick! The room upstairs has a large private balcony and is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long trek. We also have 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen, where Ana prepares our delicious meals!

We have found that our guests prefer to have an ‘all-inclusive’ basis while staying with us. This means you are welcome to really make yourself at home and are welcome to help yourself to food and drinks any time you like. Just contact us to discuss your requirements – we are happy to cater for different dietary needs. Ana is also always happy to give cooking lessons during your stay.

If you prefer to stay closer to other tourists in Bukit Lawang, we are happy to help arrange this for you. Although you may find many of them online and booking websites, many of the hotels here are owned by friends or family and so we are well placed to secure you the best deal for your budget!

Hotels range from just a few dollars a night to the more luxurious. Many are located beside the Bohorok River and some have stunning forest views. Just let us know what you prefer, and we can help find you the perfect place for your budget.
